Typical heat loss calculations
This report (extract shown below) shows how the heat loss
from the building shell is calculated. SuperHeat considers a building as being
constructed of a number of walls, floors and roofs. Each wall and roof can have
any number (within reason) of glazed opening. At first glance it may appear
that SuperHeat is much more complicated than some competitive programs, but
they assume that you have done a lot of preliminary calculations (e.g. to work
out the total wall area). Look at the report below and see 'DG PVC frame low-E
window 12mm gap 1.8 x 1.2' - Easy to check and easy to modify if required.
